farmhouse wedding one dish crackdown in Lahore Punjab

LAHORE: In a decisive move aimed at regulating wedding ceremonies across Punjab, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued stringent directives to ensure the strict implementation of the law prohibiting multiple dishes and defining working hours for such events.

Under the CM’s orders, Commissioners across Punjab, along with Regional Police Officers (RPOs), are tasked with issuing instructions to Deputy Commissioners and District Police Officers (DPOs) to guarantee the timely closure of marriage halls and adherence to the one-dish rule.

Furthermore, CM Naqvi is set to personally inspect tonight’s wedding celebrations, actively seeking out any violations of the established regulations.

The Chief Minister has stressed that any breach of the one-dish and working hours rules during marriage ceremonies at wedding halls will be dealt with indiscriminately.

Expanding the scope of the directive, CM Naqvi has made it clear that farmhouses will also come under scrutiny, and any violations discovered will be met with immediate and indiscriminate action.

In no uncertain terms, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has underscored that no concessions will be made for those who fail to adhere to the one-dish policy or violate the specified working hours.

The move reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining order and decorum in wedding ceremonies, ensuring a standardised and regulated approach across the province.
