Overseas Pakistanis Convention

ISLAMABAD: The first annual Overseas Pakistanis Convention is commencing in Islamabad tomorrow (Sunday).

It is aimed at recognizing the contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the national economy, according to Radio Pakistan. 

The government has decided to grant the status of state guests to overseas Pakistanis attending the convention.

Special arrangements are being made to welcome them at the airports.

The Overseas Pakistanis Convention will provide a platform where overseas Pakistanis, government representatives, and national institutions will come together under one roof.

To facilitate this, help desks of various government departments are being set up to provide information, guidance and services to overseas Pakistanis at a single location.

This reflects the Government’s strong commitment to listening to, understanding and promptly addressing the problems of overseas Pakistanis.

In his video message, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain expressed the government’s determination to work for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis and address their problems.

He said this is the first time an Overseas Pakistanis Convention is being organized, and their opinions and suggestions will be welcomed.

He said overseas Pakistanis have always enhanced the image of Pakistan abroad through their hard work.

FinMin Aurangzeb vows to address traders’ concerns

Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, Awn Chaudhry, expressed appreciation for the contributions of overseas Pakistanis.

He said that the hearts of overseas Pakistanis beat for Pakistan.
