Pak Army Major, Naik martyred in Balochistan: ISPR

QUETTA: Two security personnel, including an officer, have embraced martyrdom while another soldier sustained injuries during an exchange of fire with terrorists at Balor area in Balochistan.

According to Inter Services Intelligence (ISPR), a search operation was initiated in general areas Balor after an intelligence tip-off regarding terrorist movement in Hoshab area. The group was linked with firing incidents on security forces and civilians besides planting improvised explosive devices (IED).

A party of terrorists ambushed the patrolling party, opening fire on security forces personnel.

As a result of heavy exchange of fire, Major Saqib Hussain and Naik Baqir Ali embraced martyrdom while another soldier sustained injuries.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of the soldiers saying their sacrifices will not go in vain. He said terrorists will not succeed in their nefarious designs while adding that the people of Balochistan stand with Security Forces to eliminate terrorism forever.
