Pak-India tensions: Islamabad hospitals put on high alert


Islamabad hospitals on high alert

ISLAMABAD: Amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India, hospitals across Islamabad have been placed on high alert.

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon ordered assistant commissioners to visit major hospitals in the capital to review emergency preparedness.

Polyclinic, PIMS, CDA Hospital, and other key medical facilities have been directed to ensure all emergency arrangements are in place.

Private hospitals across the city are also being inspected as part of the emergency protocol.

Schools, colleges to remain shut in Islamabad, Punjab today

According to DC Islamabad, assistant commissioners have held meetings with hospital heads and directed them to make sure all arrangements are complete to deal with any untoward situation.

Leaves of all the staff have been cancelled in view of the current situation.

All medical and support personnel have been directed to remain on duty, while staff members currently outside the city have been instructed to report back immediately.
