Pak Suzuki jacks up prices by over Rs 100,000

KARACHI: Pak Suzuki Motor Company has increased the prices of all its car models, effective July 1, following the introduction of new taxation measures in the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025–26.

The price hike reflects the impact of higher sales tax and the newly introduced NEV (New Energy Vehicle) Levy.

According to a circular issued by the company to authorised dealerships, the revised prices already include Federal Excise Duty (FED), Sales Tax, and the NEV Levy, though Advance Income Tax is not part of the updated figures.

Pak Suzuki has clarified that the hike is purely due to increased government taxes and not because of any changes in production or operational costs.

The revised price list shows significant increases, especially in smaller models like the Alto. The Alto VXR has jumped by Rs 167,861 to Rs 2,994,861, while the Alto VXR AGS now costs Rs 3,166,480 after a rise of Rs 177,480.

The top-tier Alto VXL AGS has seen the sharpest increase among Alto variants, going up by Rs186,446 to Rs3,326,446.

Other models have also been affected. Cultus variants now cost between Rs40,000 to Rs45,000 more than before. The Cultus VXR is now priced at Rs 4,089,490, while the AGS version is selling for Rs 4,591,460.

Swift models have also seen price jumps ranging from Rs 44,000 to Rs 47,000. The Swift GLX CVT now stands at Rs 4,766,190. Meanwhile, the company’s entry-level commercial vehicles, like the Every and Ravi, have seen price increases of up to Rs166,200.
