PAK vs BAN: Hassan Ali’s five wickets smash rival team in opening T20 match

LAHORE: Pakistan brilliantly defeated Bangladesh in its opening clash of the T20 series at Gaddafi Stadium, with fast baller Hassan Ali smashing five wickets.

The defeated rival team who couldn’t save a single wicket from the national star performers hardly scored 164 that delivered them a significant loss.

Among the wicket takers from the national team, the skilled baller Hassan Ali secured maximum five, and artistic player Shadab Khan crushed two while all-rounder Khushdil Shah, fast baller Faheem Ashraf and captain Salman Ali Agha smashed one (each).

The only good scorers from the rival team (who also hardly stayed on the pitch) included its captain Litton Das, scoring 48, Zakir Ali, making 36, and Tanzid Hasan, securing 31.

Pakistan, in its first inning, delivered an unreachable target of 202/7 in its T20 series against Bangladesh, with the national team Captain Salman Agha maximum scoring 56, Shadab Khan and Hassan Nawaz delivering 48 and 44, respectively.

The countering team’s shining ballers were Shoriful Islam (taking two wickets) and Mahedi Hasan, Hassan, Tanzim and Shamim (smashing one wicket, each).

Earlier, the top scorer captain Agha, who won the toss and elected to bat first, expressed in his interview that his whole team was in a performing mood and ready to defeat the rival team. Similarly, Bangladeshi Captain Litton Das opined that his team preferred to field first as for them it was the time playing in the Gaddafi Stadium.
