Pakistan armed forces commemorate Pakistan Day with message of unity and strength

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and the Services Chiefs of the Armed Forces of Pakistan conveyed “warm greetings” to the country on Pakistan Day, marking its 84th anniversary.
In a message by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the armed forces paid tribute to the efforts of the Muslims of the subcontinent, inspired by great leaders to struggle for and ultimately establish, an independent Pakistan.
“This promising day is reminiscent of great efforts of the Muslims of subcontinent when they determined our destiny in line with vision of our great leaders for a separate homeland for Muslims,” the statement said.

They stated that on this day, one must “reflect on the sacrifices made” for the country’s birth. The ISPR also stated that the occasion highlights the importance and sacrifices of “our forefathers” in creating a separate homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent.
While celebrating the freedom enjoyed by the nation, the armed forces said it was important to remember the ongoing challenges faced by Muslims in India and human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The armed forces expressed concern over the hardships endured by fellow Muslims. They talked about the enduring importance of freedom and justice and said freedom is a struggle for autonomy and dignity.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs. They stated that the pledge to uphold the national flag “reflects unwavering determination and loyalty” to the country.
