Pakistan army’s missile strike destroys enemy post in Dodanial sector on LoC

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army conducted a missile strike that destroyed an enemy post in the Dodanial sector along the Line of Control (LoC), according to security sources.
The action comes amidst a full-blown war breaking out between nuclear-armed Pakistan and India, following the latter’s surprise attack on Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad and other regions in Azad Kashmir in early hours of Wednesday.
Pakistan’s fighter jet have been reported near Indian-occupied Kashmir. In a fierce aerial engagement, a Pakistani air force J-10C fighter jet successfully shot down an Indian Rafale aircraft along the LoC. The Indian aircraft was reportedly destroyed after a dogfight in the air.
Earlier, the Indian Ministry of Defence confirmed that India had launched missile attacks from its territory.
The Indian Ministry of Defense has claimed that nine locations were targeted inside Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir, while Pakistani military have confirmed 4 targeted locations.
The Indian ministry stated that the attacks were aimed at areas where the Pahalgam attack was allegedly planned.
In response, Pakistan has claimed to have successfully destroyed Indian military installations in 8 areas.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan was prepared for the Indian attack, asserting that the government had prior knowledge of the impending strikes.
He condemned India’s actions, claiming they targeted civilian populations and vowed that Pakistan would respond more forcefully than the initial attack.
In the aftermath of the Indian missile strikes, security sources reported that an innocent child was martyred, and a woman and a man sustained serious injuries.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif condemned the Indian attack, stating that the entire nation would unite to confront the enemy. She declared a state of emergency across Punjab, placing all security agencies, including the Punjab Police on high alert.
