Pakistan closes airspace until 12 pm following Indian attacks

ISLAMABAD: The government announced closure of Pakistan airspace for all flights until 12 pm following missile attacks by India on several military airbases early on Saturday.
The Pakistan Airports Authority issued the directive as a precautionary measure to close airspace nationwide following Indian attacks on the Nur Khan airbase, Murid airbase and Shorkot airbase.

The Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that all assets of the Pakistan Airforce were safe and that the missiles were intercepted.
In a press briefing, the DG ISPR warned India of a forthcoming response. He stated that Pakistan would not back down. He also noted that Indian drones and missiles targeted areas in Afghanistan.
India seems emboldened, having attacked military airbases. Residents in Rawalpindi reported hearing explosions early on Saturday.
