ISLAMABAD: In anticipation of the upcoming 23rd March parade and full rehearsal day, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has unveiled the traffic plan to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.

According to an ITP spokesman, heavy traffic entry into Islamabad will be restricted on multiple dates, including March 17, 19, 21, and 23, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM. These measures are intended to facilitate the movement of parade-related preparations and activities.

For traffic originating from Lahore, alternative routes have been designated to streamline the journey. Vehicles will be directed to proceed from Rawalpindi Sadar Road towards Peshawar GT Road and the Motorway, as outlined by the traffic spokesman.

Additionally, traffic originating from Koral Chowk and Rawalpindi will be rerouted to enter Islamabad via Khanna Bridge, Lehtrar Road, and Park Road, providing alternative access points to the city.

In a bid to accommodate smaller vehicles, the Motorway Police has announced that traffic will have the option to turn from Kashmir Chowk towards Barakahu and Murree, offering additional routes for smoother traffic dispersion.
