‘Pakistan Day’ light show at Minar-e-Pakistan; Punjab governor honors heroes

LAHORE: On the occasion of Pakistan Day, the largest light show in the country was held at Minar-e-Pakistan to pay a dazzling tribute to those who presented the Pakistan resolution at this location.

Last night, Minar-e-Pakistan was lit up with green and white lights. With the help of lights, the image of the crescent, star and national flag emerged on the monument. Lights also highlighted the architectural design of the coloumn.

A large number of people came to watch the light show. The theme of the national flag was also illuminated on the Imperial Fort, Museum, Punjab Assembly, GPO and other ancient buildings in the province.

Meanwhile, on March 23, on the occasion of Pakistan Day, the highest civil awards ceremony was held at the Governor House in Punjab.

Honours were presented to personalities who have rendered outstanding services from different walks of life. Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan gave awards to personalities from different walks of life.

Actress Sheeba Hassan and singer Fariha Pervaiz were awarded the Presidential Medal for Excellence. Hum News anchor Muzammil Suhrawardy was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

Multiple other notable personalities were also awarded, including journalist Muneeb Farooq and actor Hamid Rana.
