Pakistan defence minister lashes out at US, India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif Asif has strongly criticised the joint statement issued by US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that called for Islamabad to take decisive action against terrorism.

Speaking in the National Assembly, Asif argued that terrorism was a product of Pakistan’s alignment with the United States as a frontline state in the Afghan wars.

He also accused Modi of targeting minorities, particularly Muslims, and perpetrating state terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
