Pakistan now has more than 600 million eligible voters, says ECP

ISLAMABAD: The total number of registered voters in Pakistan has surpassed 61.34 million, according to new data released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Following the 2024 general elections, the ECP reported an increase of six million voters nationwide. Between May and July alone, 434,568 new voters were added to the electoral rolls.
The current breakdown, by region, is as follows:
- Federal capital Islamabad: 1.27 million registered voters (1,207,000)
- Punjab: 76.56 million registered voters (76,563,243)
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 22.87 million (22,874,204)
- Sindh: 28.17 million (28,170,274)
- Balochistan: 5.61 million (5,613,371)
In the last two months, Punjab has added 234,260 new voters, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa registered 82,204 new voters, Sindh added 78,445, and Balochistan has 20,778 new voters.
The ECP data also shows that male voters make up 53.65 per cent of the total, while female voters account for 46.35 per cent.
