Pakistan Post’s parcel service to US remains suspended


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Post’s parcel booking service to the United States has been suspended for nearly a month, causing significant disruptions for Pakistani e-commerce sellers. The suspension has led to order cancellations and affected the trade of Pakistani goods in the US market.

According to sources, the halt is due to non-payment of compensation to American shipping companies. However, Pakistan Post has attributed the suspension to ‘inadequate’ packaging of parcels.

This situation has raised concerns among businesses that depend on international shipping for their operations.

In related news, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Composite Circle Abbottabad recently conducted a major operation, resulting in the arrest of four officials from the Postal Department.

The officials, identified as Hafeez, Waheed, Hameed, and Khalil, are implicated in corruption cases involving more than Rs 300 million.
