KARACHI: In a relentless crackdown on sugar hoarding, Pakistan Rangers successfully intercepted and seized a substantial consignment of sugar bags during a recent operation.

The operation, targeting sugar hoarders, resulted in the recovery of a staggering 140,000 bags of sugar from various warehouses situated along Hub River Road.

Sources close to the operation estimate the confiscated sugar to be worth over one billion rupees.

Authorities believe that the seized sugar was destined to be smuggled into Afghanistan through Balochistan.

The confiscated bags of sugar have been handed over to the civil administration for further action.
