He mentioned that a 2011 video clip of (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu regarding Pakistan had gone viral, and similarly, a clip about (US President Doland) Trump was circulated before it was found to be fake. A fabricated clip of Defence Minister Khawaja Asif was also shared on social media, he said.
He said that Pakistan’s armed forces are on full alert, and Israel would not even dare to look at Pakistan with hostility.
Dar said that following the Israeli attack on Iran, Pakistan adopted a clear stance and had a telephone conversation with the Iranian foreign minister.
Dar emphasised that Pakistan’s nuclear programme is for national defence, regional stability, and peaceful purposes. “We have not made any statement about a nuclear strike on Israel,” he reiterated, adding, “We believe in resolving issues and conflicts through dialogue.”
