Pakistan sends 200-ton aid for Palestine

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to send more aid to Gaza, as per Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s instructions. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 200 tons of aid has been sent to Gaza through two special flights, as per latest consignments.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar handed over the aid consignment to the Palestinian ambassador. Speaking on the occasion, Tarar said, “Pakistan has taken practical steps for Palestinian brothers. PM Shehbaz Sharif raised voice for Palestinians at all levels.”

He added that Pakistan will always raise voice for Palestine at international forums.
Earlier in August, a consignment weighing 100 tons departed from Islamabad Airport. Both these consignment included essential food items and medicines.
Like the previous consignments, these aid supplies will reach Jordan and Oman through a special flight and from there, it will be transported to the Palestinian territories. Total weight of aid sent to Gaza through 18 aid consignments so far is 1815 tons, NDMA spokesperson said.
Germany suspends military exports to Israel, calls for Gaza ceasefire
Meanwhile Germany has suspended approval of all military equipment exports to Israel that could be used in the Gaza Strip, Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced on Friday, citing Israel’s plans to escalate military operations there. Merz said securing the release of Israeli hostages and pushing forward ceasefire negotiations remain Berlin’s top priorities. He voiced deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian crisis, stressing the urgent need to alleviate the suffering of civilians in Gaza.
