Pakistan solemnly observes Muharram 9

ISLAMABAD: Youm-e-Ashur, the tenth of Muharram-ul-Haram, will be observed tomorrow nationwide to honour the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala. Today, on the Muharram 9, processions are being held across the country with reverence.

Mourning processions will be held today and tomorrow in cities and towns across the country. Ulema and Zakireen will discuss the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the events of Karbala.

Majalis are scheduled for today and tomorrow in mosques and Imambargahs, where Ulema, Zakireen, and scholars will discuss the philosophy of martyrdom and the virtues of Ahl-e-Bayt.

Extensive security arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of the mourning processions. – INP
