Pakistan strongly condemns Israel’s attack on Iran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has issued a statement strongly condemning Israeli aggression against Iran.

Prime Minister Shhebaz Sharif, in a statement on X, formerly Twitter, wrote “I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, today’s unprovoked attack on Iran by Israel. I convey my deepest sympathies to the Iranian people on the loss of lives in this attack. This grave and highly irresponsible act is deeply alarming and risks further de-stabilising an already volatile region.”

He added, “We urge the international community and the United Nations to take urgent steps to prevent any further escalation that could imperil regional and global peace.”

Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also said in a post on X, that Pakistan strongly condemns “unjustified Israeli attacks on Islamic republic of Iran which is a brazen violation of Iran’s sovereignty.”

He wrote, “This abhorrent action has shaken foundations of international law as well as conscience of humanity; and gravely undermines regional stability & [international] security.”

FO ISSUES HOTLINE FOR PAKISTANIS IN IRAN

Pakistani Embassy in Tehran has directed to provide all possible facilities to Pakistani pilgrims, FM Ishaq Dar announced on Friday.

Crisis Management Unit in Tehran will remain open 24 hours. Instructions have been issued to the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran, Dar added.
