Pakistan strongly condemns US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan strongly condemns US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, said a statement issued by Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) on Sunday.

The statement also said that these attacks are a clear violation of international law, adding that these attacks are likely to escalate tensions in the region to a dangerous level.

“We consider these attacks as a continuation of Israel’s repeated attacks,” FO statement, adding, “We are deeply concerned about the further escalation of tensions in the region”.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also issued the statement via social media platform X, formerly Twitter:

PAKISTAN MAINTAINS STANCE

Pakistan has maintained a strong diplomatic support for Iran since the start of this conflict between Iran and Israel.

Earlier, on Friday, during the UN Security Council meeting, Pakistan had warned that any war in the Middle East would produce devastating consequences for the entire region. Pakistan’s permanent representative at the UN had also reiterated full support to Iran and the Iranian people.
