WEB DESK: Dr Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi, the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has reassured Pakistani citizens that there are no visa restrictions for them travelling to the Gulf nation.
His statement came on Monday in response to recent concerns reported by residents of Sindh province about difficulties in obtaining UAE visas.
In a video statement, Dr Remeithi emphasised that Pakistani businessmen, workers, and individuals seeking medical treatment are being provided with all necessary facilities for their travel to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and other UAE cities.
He highlighted the UAE’s longstanding cultural, religious, and trade ties with Pakistan, which have flourished over the past 50 years. “The UAE offers full support to our Pakistani friends in securing visas,” he affirmed.
Dr Remeithi also announced a new awareness programme at the Karachi Consulate designed to assist travellers. He advised that individuals heading to the UAE should avoid carrying prohibited items and pack their own luggage to prevent complications.
Additionally, the Consul General revealed that the UAE will soon introduce a new initiative for the business community.
This programme will offer comprehensive support to those wishing to visit the UAE for business purposes or to facilitate UAE companies’ investments in Pakistan.
