WEB DESK: The Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan assured his unequivocal support towards Palestine, condemning the recent bombing in Gaza by Israel in strongest words during the press briefing on Thursday. Referring to the news circulating about the alleged visit of a Pakistani delegation including journalists and intellectuals to Israel, Khan said that it was being looked into, and Pakistan continues to not recognise the state of Israel.
More than 600 civilians have died in the recent escalation of violence by Israel after it broke off the ceasefire earlier this week.
The FO further added that Pakistani passport explicitly states that it cannot be used for travel to Israel, and that Pakistan’s position has been very unambiguous. He clarified that the the alleged trip taken by Pakistani journalists and researchers has no endorsement of the state or the foreign ministry.

“We are gathering information and once we have a clearer picture to assess, we will be able to comment on that,” he said adding that the ministry does not know who all were part of the delegation and the kinds of passports they carried: “Maybe they were dual nationalities.”
News websites, Jewsish News Syndicate and All Israel News released similar stories while Israel Hayom published an interview with journalists Qaiser Abbas and Shabbir Khan.
This is not the first time that NGO Sharaka which aims to promote harmony between Israel and Asian countries has invited Pakistan delegation rather in 2022, journalists like Ahmad Quraishi visited Israel as part of a group as well.
