ISLAMABAD: In a significant move towards modernisation, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is set to fully adopt an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, eliminating paper use entirely.
This shift follows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s push for the digitisation of government operations to boost efficiency.
The new ERP system will simplify processes, improve data management, and support a more eco-friendly work environment.
As part of the Prime Minister’s broader e-office initiative, the aim is to enhance transparency and operational efficiency within government offices.
According to Express Tribune, all government employees are now expected to use the e-office system for their file work, with staff at the Prime Minister’s Office already having completed their training. A progress update on the e-office implementation is anticipated within the next two weeks.
Last month, PM Sharif directed the Ministry of Information Technology and other relevant departments to roll out the e-office system across all government offices.
“The use of the e-office system for file work must be fully implemented by next month,” the Prime Minister said.
