Pakistani takes kid for DNA test, murders wife after negative result: Uganda police

KAMPALA: A Pakistani national, Waheed Tauheed, is currently held by police in Mpigi District, Uganda, following the alleged murder of his wife, Monica Nabukenya.

Tauheed, who suspected Nabukenya of infidelity, conducted a DNA test on their 6-month-old child, which returned negative results, indicating he was not the biological father.

Following the DNA test results, a confrontation ensued which reportedly ended in Nabukenya’s death. Tauheed is accused of hiding her body in a septic tank within their compound. During police interrogation, he led detectives to his home where they discovered the decomposing body.

Tauheed admitted to the murder, citing the negative DNA test results as the motive accoding to local police officials.
