Pakistan’s independence day celebrated in occupied Kashmir

KASHMIR: Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) observed Pakistan’s Independence Day with enthusiasm on Wednesday, the Kashmir Media Service reported.
Despite rigorous surveillance and CCTV monitoring by the occupying forces, residents across various districts displayed posters supporting Pakistan and hoisted Pakistani flags.

The posters featured slogans such as “Happy Independence Day” and “We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours”.
Despite heavy security imposed by the occupying authorities, residents displayed posters and flags in support of Pakistan. The authorities actively monitored and restricted these activities throughout the region.
Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference declared August 15 as Black Day in IIOJK. The observance is aimed at spotlighting the ongoing political and human rights issues in the region.
