Pakistan’s PM and Tajikistan’s President exchange Eid greetings

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eidul Adha.

During a telephone conversation, Prime Minister Sharif congratulated President Rahman and the people of Tajikistan, extending best wishes for peace, prosperity, and development in both countries.

President Rahman reciprocated the congratulations and expressed appreciation for the strong ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan. Both leaders noted their satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral relations.

The conversation included discussions on expanding trade, energy cooperation, and other ties. The upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Astana was also a topic of discussion. The leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening regional unity and cooperation, agreeing to continue working together to promote peace and stability in the Muslim world and the region.
