The president is expected to address the newly elected members of both the upper and lower houses of Parliament at the outset of the parliamentary term following the recent general elections.
This session marks the first gathering of the new parliamentary term, following the constitutionally mandated elections for both the upper and lower houses.
Despite the general elections taking place for over two months, a joint session couldn’t be summoned due to pending Senate elections.
