PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has issued a directive instructing its personnel to promptly remove green number plates from their vehicles.

This measure is being implemented in order to preempt any potential public backlash due to the surge in electricity bills.

An official notification, released by the Assistant Manager of Transport at PESCO, has mandated all officers to refrain from utilizing government vehicles, especially those bearing green number plates. This directive remains in effect until a restoration of law and order can be achieved, with the aim of preventing any undesirable incidents and safeguarding both Government and PESCO assets.
