Peshawar’s industrial area fire blazes up once again

PESHAWAR: A fire erupted in the Hayatabad industrial area of Peshawar on Saturday. Yesterday, after 22 hours of fire-fighting efforts of over a 100 firefighters, it was reported that the fire has been put out. However, now there are reports that the inferno is once again blazing in the factory, in the basement this time.

As per latest reports, the new blaze was caused by the plastic raw materials present in the basement area of the factory. Five vehicles are busy in controlling the fire, Rescue spokesperson said on Monday morning.

Yesterday, it was reported that one part of the factory building had collapsed due to fire, while the remainder of the building showed cracks and caused fears of sudden fall. On Monday, however, the situation worsened with the blaze reigniting once again.
