Mohammad Saeedullah was taken into custody on August 6 following an order issued by Swat’s deputy commissioner invoking section three of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

The commissioner alleged that Saeedullah’s actions had posed a threat to public safety and tranquility within the region.

The deputy commissioner asserted that Saeedullah had been actively encouraging the general public to engage in protests, thereby creating an atmosphere of uncertainty that had the potential to disrupt law and order.

Consequently, a detention order for a duration of 30 days was issued against him.
