Last year, over 288,000 cases of the pink eye infection were reported from January to September 2023.
Pinkeye is a common and self-limiting condition that affects the lining of the eyelid and eyeball, adding that it is treatable at any stage.
The infection can easily spread through contact with contaminated surfaces, close contact with infected people, and even through conversations.
People with pinkeye should wear black glasses, and separate their bedding and utensils immediately.
The doctors had asked the masses to go in isolation if they suffered from the pink eye infection.
