PM calls for cooperation for economic recovery in talks with Sindh CM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif advocated for cooperation between the federal government and provinces to help Pakistan’s economic recovery from inflation on Wednesday.
The PM held a meeting with Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh Murad Ali Shah in Islamabad. Shehbaz called for unity and “concerted efforts” in addressing issues and challenges facing the country. He said that cooperation was needed in tackling development issues plaguing the economically-struggling country.

Shehbaz Sharif instructed the Sindh government prioritise resolving development issues and to speed up the progress of ongoing projects in the province. He stated that economic stability was crucial for Pakistan’s prosperity.
The PM also directed concerned federal ministers to devise sustainable solutions for the financial and economic challenges plaguing the Sindh government.
Shehbaz called for an “inclusive governance” by ensuring that all provinces were consulted in the preparation of the development budget. The meeting was attended by Inter-Provincial Coordination Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Federal Minister of Energy Awais Leghari and other high-ranking officials.
