PM, COAS meet wounded troops at CMH

RAWALPINDI: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi on Friday.
They enquired after the health of soldiers and civilians injured during the recent Ma’araka-e-Haq operation.
The prime minister praised the courage and determination of injured troops under treatment. “The bravery of our forces and unity of the nation during this battle is unmatched,” said PM Shehbaz.
General Asim Munir also lauded the commitment and heroism of the injured personnel during the operation.
PM Shehbaz added that the nation’s resolve has written a defining chapter in the country’s military history.
PM VISITS RESIDENCE OF SHAHEED SQUADRON LEADER USMAN YOUSAF
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the residence of Shaheed Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf in Rawalpindi today and offered condolences to the family of Shaheed.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir also accompanied the prime minister.
They offered fateha for the martyr and prayed for the elevation of his ranks.
Youm-e-Tashakur (Thanksgiving Day) is being observed across Pakistan today to celebrate the victory of Marka-e-Haq and honour the country’s armed forces and resilient citizens.
