PM, Field Marshal Munir to Visit Quetta; ceremony postponed

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will visit Quetta shortly, according to an official statement.

The premier will be briefed on the security situation in Balochistan. Both the PM and the Field Marshal will also visit the injured of the Khuzdar bus blast.

Meanwhile, a ceremony scheduled for this evening to decorate Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir with Field Marshal badges has been postponed.

The event was deferred on the request of the field marshal Asim Munir following the tragic Khuzdar incident, the PM Office said.

Five people including three children have been killed in a bomb blast at zero point on the Karachi-Quetta National Highway in Khuzdar on Wednesday morning.
