PM Kakar again advises president to summon NA session

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has once again sent advice to President Dr Arif Alvi to summon the inaugural session of the 16th National Assembly.

At the same time, the caretaker prime minister has authorized the National Assembly Secretariat to summon the session of the lower house of parliamanet.

The caretaker premier has stated that under the constitution, it is the constitutional deadline to requisition the National Assembly session within 21 days after the general elections.

Sources said that after the president returned a summary seeking the session of the National Assembly, alternative arrangements have been made for convening the National Assembly session.

The sources said that the caretaker prime minister has authorised the National Assembly Secretariat to convene a session in accordance with the constitutional deadline.
