ISLAMABAD: In a telephonic conversation, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed the escalating situation as a result of indiscriminating attacks by Israeli Defense Force (IDF) against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, according to APP.
The care taker prime minister strongly denounced the continuous and deadly airstrikes by Israeli occupying forces, especially condemning the ruthless and horrific bombing of Al-Ahli hospital.
He reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to achieving a long-term resolution of the Palestinian conflict, emphasizing support for the “two-state” solution.
President Abbas also thanked Pakistan for its long-lasting support to the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom from Israeli occupation.

Almost two-weeks ago, Hamas group had stormed into Israel from the Gaza Strip, taking more than 200 hostages and killing at least 1,400 people, mostly civilians who were shot, mutilated or burnt to death on the first day of the raid, according to Israeli officials.
Israel has since vowed to destroy Hamas, and says around 1,500 of the group’s fighters were killed in clashes before its army regained control of the area initially under attack.
A bombing campaign launched in response has levelled entire city blocks in Gaza, so far killing 4,137 Palestinians, mostly civilians, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
