PM reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to global peace, stability

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for global peace and stability.

Speaking during an Iftar dinner hosted for members of the diplomatic corps at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the premier said: “As a peace-loving country, Pakistan seeks harmonious relations with all nations.”

He emphasized that Pakistan’s constitution ensures equal rights for all citizens without discrimination, underscoring the government’s dedication to translating these principles into action through inclusive policies.

PM Sharif outlined the government’s priorities, focusing on post-election progress and prosperity for the people of Pakistan. He highlighted a development-oriented agenda aimed at revitalizing the economy, implementing reforms, fostering global partnerships, and attracting foreign investment.

Regarding foreign policy, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s robust support for global peace initiatives and reiterated the nation’s solidarity with Palestinians in their pursuit of self-determination.

In the spirit of Ramazan, PM Sharif underscored the values of sacrifice, discipline, and compassion, emphasizing the importance of harmony, peace, and tolerance in addressing global challenges.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to peace, equality, and justice. He called for immediate action to address regional disputes, including Kashmir and Palestine, stressing the importance of collective efforts for peace and prosperity.

Dar also highlighted the ongoing threat of terrorism, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional and global cooperation in combating this menace.

During Pakistan’s tenure as a non-permanent member of the UNSC, Dar noted the country’s efforts to promote international peace and prosperity, emphasizing the importance of collective action in addressing contemporary challenges.
