PM Sharif to leave for official visit to Saudi Arabia: FO

WEB DESK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will leave for an official visit to Saudi Arabia from March 19 (tomorrow) to March 22, and is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan confirmed that the discussions will focus on matters of mutual interest, including the situation in Gaza, regional development, and the Middle East. He added that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance economic cooperation between both countries, and that promoting more avenues for investments would also be a key objective.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other federal ministers will accompany the PM during the visit.
Last year in October, PM Sharif met Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh to discuss various issues, including ways to promote cooperation in trade and investment. PM Sharif was on a two-day official visit to attend the Future Investment Initiative summit. The two also met in April 2024.
