PM Sharif unveils new policy for officers’ posting in Balochistan

QUETTA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday announced that capable and talented officers will be appointed in Balochistan who will be given special perks and privileges.
Speaking to participants at the end of the apex committee meeting in Quetta, the premier acknowledged that some officers show reluctance to work in Balochistan due to law and order issues.
He said that that a new policy has been thrashed out regarding the appointment and posting of officers in Balochistan.
The prime minister said that officers from the 48 common training programme will be appointed in Balochistan for one year. He said that after one year, 49 common remaining programme officers will be posted in the province for one-and-a-half-year.

PM Sharif said that the officers posted in Balochistan will receive special perks and privileges. These include four air tickets for their family members every three months and three additional points on their performance reports.
He said that everyone should play a role in establishing peace in Balochistan.
He said that no leniency will be show to the enemies of the country. “Negotiations are necessary with those who salute the flag and constitution of Pakistan, but there will be no negotiations with the enemies of the country,” he said.
