PM Shehbaz arrives in UK following UNGA session in US

LONDON: Prime Minster Shehbaz Sharif arrived in the United Kingdom in early hours of Saturday after attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States.
His plane landed at the Luton Airport, located in a suburb of London.

According to sources, the prime minister is expected to remain in London for three to four days.
During his visit to the United States, where Shehbaz addressed the UNGA, he met with several prominent leaders on the sidelines, including the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The visit comes amid ongoing intense geopolitical tensions, in particular Israel’s brutality in Palestine and relentless bombardment in Lebanon that has killed more than 700 Lebanese in less than a week.

Shehbaz’s visit to the UK is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing regional security issues.
