PM Shehbaz hosts dinner in honour of Saudi Foreign Minister


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently hosted a grand dinner during the visit of Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and his delegation in Islamabad on Monday.

The PM expressed his delight at their arrival and conveyed gratitude to Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for extending the invitation and sending such a “distinguished group” to Pakistan.

Sharif talked about strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations, particularly in areas of economic, cultural, and strategic domains. He expressed optimism regarding the outcomes of the discussions, foreseeing new avenues of cooperation and prosperity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the Saudi FM acknowledged the warm reception from the Pakistani government. The FM appreciated the hospitality extended during their stay. He talked about the enduring partnership between his country and Pakistan, noting that such gestures leave a “lasting impression” and reinforces the “strong bonds shared” between both nations.

The visit’s agenda includes discussions on economic cooperation, investment opportunities, security collaboration, and cultural exchanges. Sharif highlighted the importance of the Apex Committee of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council (SIFC) in enhancing investment opportunities and fostering greater economic integration between the two countries.
