PM Shehbaz Sharif calls Federal Cabinet meeting tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the federal cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is set to take place tomorrow, according to official sources.

The cabinet will deliberate on several pressing national matters, with law and order and the country’s economic situation high on the agenda. The meeting will also address issues related to both national and internal security, sources added.

The cabinet is also expected to ratify the recent decisions made by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), which has been active in framing the government’s fiscal and monetary strategies amid ongoing economic challenges.

Another notable item on the meeting agenda is a briefing on the proposal to rename the Frontier Constabulary (FC) as the Federal Constabulary, a move seen as part of broader security sector reforms.
