ISLAMABAD: Moments after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Attaullah Tarar corroborated Khawaja Asif’s statement of Shahbaz Sharif being the party’s prime ministerial candidate, another party leader has issued a rebuttal.

PML-N leader and former information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said, “This might be Khawaja Asif’s wish or opinion to see Shahbaz Sharif as the prime minister but the party has not yet made any such decision.”

She added, “Media is running this statement partially and not in full”.

Earlier, Khawaja Asif had said that Shahbaz Sharif will be the PM candidate from the party, which was later resounded by Attaullah Tarar.

Notably absent from the candidacy roster all party statements so far, however, is Nawaz Sharif.
