PML-N, PPP, MQM, IPP and PML-Q announce to form coalition govt

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League (N), the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) the Muttahida Qaumi Movement  (MQM-P), Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and Balochistan Awami Party announced to form a coalition government.


A meeting of all major political parties was held at the residence of Muslim League (Q) leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in Islamabad, which was attended by Asif Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Sadiq Sanjrani.


Speaking to the media after the meeting, former President Asif Zardari said that they had decided to form a government together as they wanted PTI to also join the reconciliation process, they had no ideological differences.


He said that everyone would have to unite on an economic agenda in the best interests of the country, there are differences in the election but they have to move forward together.
On the occasion, Asif Zardari chanted the slogan of Pakistan Khappay.


MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that he had supported Shahbaz Sharif before and would do so again, they would all take Pakistan to a better situation.


Sadiq Sanjrani said that they were with Mian Sahib, they are.
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that they say things against each other in the election, that phase is over, now the parliament is coming into existence, they have to get the economy on its feet.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has urged an end to ego-driven issues, emphasizing the necessity for revolutionary steps to rescue the country’s economy.

“Come and I again invite the Charter of Economy to everyone. Come, move forward and let’s together promote the Charter of Democracy and end the things we said against one another,” said Shehbaz.

PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari stated that he and other political leaders acknowledge the country’s high level of debt and are fully cognizant of the challenges it faces. Considering all the factors, they deliberated and made the decision to sit together.
