ISLAMABAD: A local man turned the streets of Club Road into his personal stage when he climbed a high-voltage electricity pole, shouting slogans and enjoying an unexpected moment in the limelight.
The man, who claims to wash cars for al living, was taken into custody after police and rescue teams safely brought him down. His reason for the stunt? “I have no job without it”, he told media personnel gathered around, enjoying the show as well.

The man added the police had repeatedly arrested him, forcing him to take extreme measures.
The pole climb began as an unusual protest but quickly caught the attention of law enforcement and the media. Police officials, including SP City Suleman Zafar, SP Dolphin Khalid Awan and Magistrate Bani Gala Mir Yasmeen, were present at the scene to oversee the operation.
Rescue authorities with caution while the man apparently enjoyed his “15 minutes of fame”, before finally surrendering to the police.
Once safely on the ground, the man was given water and attended to by officials. Local law enforcement advised that they would look into the grievances he raised through his unusual protest.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as part protest, part spectacle, as drivers and pedestrians paused to watch the man’s expected performance.
While the man’s methods were risky and disruptive, authorities handled the situation with measured response, ensuring no harm came to him or the public.
The police pledged to address his concerns, but in the meantime, Club Road returned to its usual bustle, now with one more story to tell.
