LAHORE: Punjab Police arrested the notorious “Jordan” gang, the largest drug supplier in Lahore, during a major anti-narcotics operation.

The raid, conducted under the directions of Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif, led to the seizure of drugs worth crores of rupees.

The Punjab Police launched the operation to apprehend the gang, which was supplying various drugs, including marijuana, ice, hashish, and opium. Advanced technology and IT resources were used to trace the gang’s operations.

CM Maryam commended the police for their efforts and urged them to continue their commitment to public safety.

In a briefing, authorities informed the CM that the gang was disguising drugs as imported products, such as chocolates and toffees, and sourcing them from various countries, including Central Asia, Canada, and Mexico.

During the raid in DHA Phase 6, police arrested the gang’s leader, Muhammad Ayub, also known as “Jordan,” along with other members, including Mohammad Ali, Aziz, Mohammad Nadeem, Samina Iftikhar, Sana, and Fatima Zahra.

Nine armed guards were also taken into custody. The gang was using fake IDs to communicate with suppliers in Pakistan.

High-ranking officials, including the Inspector General of Police, CCPO, Additional Secretary of Law and Order, and SSP, attended the operation and subsequent briefing.
