Museum to feature iconic artefacts of Punjab Police

LAHORE: In a recent development, Additional Inspector General (IG) Operations Punjab, Shahzada Sultan, emphasised the profound significance of historical artefacts associated with the history of Punjab Police.
These artefacts, including First Information Reports (FIRs) detailing pivotal incidents, policing equipment used throughout different eras, weapons, uniforms, and ranks, are deemed of paramount importance.
Speaking on the matter, Sultan declared that these crucial pieces of the Punjab Police’s historical legacy will be curated and showcased with the utmost care in the upcoming museum at the Central Police Office.
The museum aims to provide an exemplary display of the rich history encapsulated within the artefacts.
During an inspection of the construction progress on Thursday, Sultan underscored the Police Museum’s role as a guardian of the historical heritage of Punjab Police.
The preservation and exhibition of these artefacts are intended to offer an insightful journey through the history of Punjab Police.
The Additional IG Operations Punjab expressed his anticipation that the museum’s exhibits would serve as a valuable resource for various delegations, diplomats, and distinguished personalities visiting the Central Police Office.
By facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the history of the Punjab Police, the museum aims to contribute to a broader appreciation of law enforcement’s evolution over time.
