ISLAMABAD: A policeman was caught red-handed taking inappropriate photos of women inside the washroom of a government hospital in Gujar Khan.

The incident occurred at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Gujar Khan, where the officer, dressed in plain clothes, was seen taking indecent photos of women in the bathroom and other areas of the hospital.

A citizen noticed his suspicious activity and immediately apprehended him.

The accused was handed over to Gujar Khan police along with his mobile phone.

A case was filed by a complainant named Bilal Hussain, who said he had gone to the hospital for treatment when he caught the suspect filming women in the washroom. Upon checking the phone, objectionable photos were found.

The suspect was identified as Aqeel Abbas, a resident of Rajgan, and a police official affiliated with the Training Wing in Lahore. Police registered a case under sections 354 and 292 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Further investigation is underway.

According to SP Saddar Nabeel Khokhar, the suspect belongs to Lahore’s Training Wing. He added that a thorough inquiry is being conducted to ensure strict legal action is taken against those involved in such disgraceful acts.
