Policeman dies in road accident

ISLAMABAD: In a tragic incident that unfolded in the early hours, a police constable of Islamabad Capital Territory lost his life in a road accident, while another officer sustained injuries.

The unfortunate event transpired as Constable Kamran, diligently serving in the security division, was en route from Bara Kahu to his duty station when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle near the vicinity of Lake View Park.

Regrettably, Constable Kamran succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.

Simultaneously, a security guard employed by a private company also suffered injuries in the accident, underscoring the severity of the collision.

The injured officer is currently receiving medical attention, and the law enforcement agencies are actively involved in the investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.

In response to this heart-wrenching loss, Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir has issued directives for the provision of full cooperation and support to the grieving family of the deceased constable.
