Politicians must join hands to solve country’s problems: Bilawal

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stated that the politics of hatred was at its peak in the country today, and politics had been turned into personal enmity but politicians must join hands to solve the country’s problems.

Speaking at a seminar titled “Bhutto Reference and History’ in Lahore, Bilawal said, “This is the first seminar of the PPP after the judicial decision on the Bhutto reference.

“The Supreme Court’s decision is the result of PPP’s long struggle. Asif Zardari had sent the Bhutto reference to the Supreme Court. There should be seminars in every district on the historic decision in the Bhutto reference, and the public should be assured that there will be no more judicial killings,” he said.

He also said, “The court acknowledged in the Bhutto reference that a blunder had been done. Reforms in the judicial system are the need of the hour. We need to bring judicial reforms so that we can tell future generations that mistakes can be corrected, but constitutional amendment is needed for judicial reforms.”

He further stated, “The PPP played a significant role in signing the Charter of Democracy. Today, the politics of hatred is at its peak in the country, and politics had been turned into personal enmity. There is no longer room for respect for opinions of differences in the country’s politics.

Bilawal said, “Solving public issues is our top priority. The PPP has the capability to solve the country’s problems. The PPP believes in resolving issues through dialogue, and our struggle for the betterment of the people will continue.”

He concluded by saying, “During the election campaign, our 10-point agenda was heavily criticized. The federation and provinces have now adopted the PPP’s 10-point agenda after coming to power. In Punjab, the PPP’s ten-point manifesto is also being adopted.”
